A New Year's Eve Without Fireworks, But With Plenty of Sparkle
Share
I'm not exactly the life of the New Year's Eve party. The thought of crowded rooms, forced small talk, and the inevitable "What are your resolutions?" interrogation makes me want to hibernate until February.
Honestly, I'd rather spend the evening with my closest friends, preferably in my pajamas. Forget the fancy champagne. Give me a cozy movie marathon, a mountain of takeout pizza (extra cheese, please!).
"I usually start resolutions but never follow through," I confess, mostly to myself. This year, though, I'm making a pact with myself – no more grand pronouncements about becoming a marathon runner or learning to speak fluent Mandarin. This year, it's about the small things: appreciating the good moments, connecting with the people I love, noticing the little things that make me happy, random acts of kindness.
I want this year to be the year of connections, gratitude, the year to share what I love with the people I love. And to kick things off, I'll be attempting a classic Colombian tradition with my best friend – eating 12 grapes, one for each chime of midnight. Let's be honest, it's probably going to be a chaotic mess, involving grape juice stains and a lot of laughter.
What are your plans for the New Year? Are you braving the crowds, or are you opting for a more low-key affair? Either way, Happy New Year from the Luverly family to yours! May this year be filled with joy, laughter, and maybe even a few unexpected surprises.
